How Does IASIS Microcurrent Neurofeedback Therapy Work?
Unlike traditional neurofeedback therapy, Microcurrent Neurofeedback (MCN) Therapy produces fast, effective results with a fewer amount of sessions. The ease and simplicity of MCN treatment distinguish it from traditional neurofeedback.
MCN produces a measurable change in the brain waves without conscious effort from the individual receiving the feedback. The result is a changed brainwave state and a much greater ability for the brain and nervous system to regulate itself. MCN is imperceptible to the client, causes no pain, and requires no conscious effort. Our experience shows that more than 85% of our clients observe a noticeable positive response in one to three sessions. Reported changes are generally enduring and sustainable.
Why Should I Try Microcurrent Neurofeedback Therapy?
Part of why diseases are so traumatic is that they often cause the dysfunction of the brain and nervous system. In cases such as this, the brain becomes “frozen” in a dysfunctional homeostasis (imbalance in the brain and/or nervous system) that leads to dysregulation. MCN causes brief microcurrent stimulation (3 Pico, or 3 trillionths of a Watt) to the nervous system, causing the brain waves to temporarily fluctuate. These tiny “interruptions” allow the brain to reorganize – and effectively heal – itself.
MCN does not train the brain like traditional neurofeedback, which requires a conscious effort on the part of the patient. Rather, Microcurrent Neurofeedback Therapy “re-trains” the brain and central nervous system by allowing these organs to shift away, even for a brief moment, from their formerly fixed patterns, analogous to re-booting a computer.

How Fast Does Microcurrent Neurofeedback Therapy Work?
Patients often feel a mood or condition shift occurs during the initial session. Family and friends may notice the shift in one to three sessions. Initial changes are temporary but last longer with each treatment. By the end of a series of un-training sessions, improvements are substantial. While some patients require “tune-ups,” for the most part the benefits endure. We believe that this is naturally the result of the brain regaining a healthier homeostasis and a natural resistance to returning to a dysfunctional state.
